Unity Auditorium, June 4th, 1911. The promise is that there shall be a now heaven and a new earth. The o’d heaven and old earth will pass away. This scripture nas been interpreted by certain religious sects to mean that the earth will meet with some great catastrophe. They look not upon the Spirit, but upon the material. The very time has been set in which the world will come to an end. It has been al.: figured out the exact dat in which we will all go up in smoke. But it never comes to pass. Like the old man who lived a long time and had seen a great deal of trouble, which never come to pass. The fact is that the world is coming to an end, and it is Doing rolled up and passing away. As wo, from day to day, live in Lnose two worlds, the spiritual and material, we do not fuxly realise that the old is passing away, fie are going into an^iher consciousness. But if you will look back ten years and compare the conditions, you will be surprised. You will say, what a wonderful change." What is ten years? It is nothing. It can’t be counted at all, even as man counts years. But if tnis wonderful change is taking place in those few years, how much greater must be a lifetime. We can go on making those changes m the way we now are, and in fifty years there will an entirely new state of consciousness right here. We will have changed all our consciousness. Everything about us is changing. A!.*- the diiferont products of the earth is being changed. Shall we expect a new man? Certainly. There must be a man to inherit this earth. How does this man bring himself into expression? Through his thoughts or his words. This new heaven and new earth must be brought into expression through law; there must be a creative process going on. It is here for us to use. -2- If things were originally created through the power of the word, is it not logical and true that the same method will go on? The new heaven and the new earth will be brought into expression through the snoken word of God. This spoken word of God has always seemed to be of a very high spiritual process. We have not conceived that God is every thing, and is being put into everything. If God speaks through substance, there is no other way to speak to worldly substance; the word must be right now in process of expression. The word of God then must he in action now. It is going forward now; it is bringing forth the word. How is this accomplished? Through the highest form of intelligence in the world, is the most powerful words of God spoken. We differenciato when we consider the different plains of consciousness m the spiritual and annimal world. They are not all the same. Our words are not always of the same character. Wo have times when we feel strong, and our words are powerful and forceful, and times when they go away up in the top of our head. They don't seem to have any energy. The word is formed in the mind. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. In the original creative power the Word was God. Now, this Word of Good seems to enter into ever thing that God creates. God doss not send his word out, and then go off in some different locality, but the mind of God is backing the Word. Man has both center and circumference, according to his appreciation of himself. There is a spiritual center in every one but if you have been living on tne surface, you are not in realiza tion of that center, and don't know the real power of your word. It is not bringing results. You are not connected with God. "Take with you words and return to the Lord." It is a fact taught by all scripture, and we know it is true, that man has gone into the 3- extornal of his being, and lost connection with this cantor spirit nund. Iniquity has come upon Israel," The remedy is, "take vvords and go back." "e have not realised, nor tried to prove, this law ot the power ot the word in returning to the Lord. We have thought and agonized over the matter, but have not seen just how to get in touch of the Spirit. How shall we know and realize more of our own spiritual power, that our words may become creative and we can say with Jesus Christ, "My words are Spirit, and my words are lifor1" "Take with you words and return to the Lord." If you have some certain words, and uso them, we will say in parrot like way, il you will, they wi’l open the way for a higher spiritual realization, tVhy are all these words written in the spiritual The nrnd may commet them to memory and open the way into the Spirit. Ail language is but the expression of ideas. Ideas are what we are searching for. What we finally arrive at will be language. The described sometimes accords thought through tho use of language. But this description varies. Man speaks one language and don’t understand tho description of it. Suppose we can dissolve tho description into the real things mentioned. Say, the passing of a circus parade. The picture would be immediately given to you. You would take in the whole situation. That which I was trying to give to you in words, would be given to you in fullness. When the Kingdom of Heaven is realized, we will do away with language. We will transfer, or live in the real substance, expressed through ideas. We will see exactly the thing in mind, clothed in proper relation, and everybody in that heavenly state will see it. If the perfection of the Divine mind was here in its fu...xness, we vould xive in that heavenly process of tho one Infinite mind. How shall we bring the new heaven and new earth in -4- that consciousness? Take to it spiritual words, and you will find the Lord waiting. The law is here, and with words we can open up the way. It is no special creation on the part of the Lord, hut' it exists in every one. Through true words it is opened up. There is apt to develop in us a certain spiritual pride, that has to he watch very closely. There is that in us that says:"See how nicely I can handle words.”' John Bunyon analysed that new character very closely, but he saw this spiritual pride within himself, and was on the alert to subdue it. Once after having delivered a very eloquent sermon, he was heartily congratulated upon that fact, by one of his audience, to which he replied: "It is no nows to me; the devil informed me of that before I came down from the pulpit." Ho met it and put the adversary behind him. So, if we get into this kingdom, deny the personality. Selfishness must be crucified. That is the one that is on the cross, and it is the one who saw the Christ in us. It is the personal mind that keeps the Spirit from expressing itself, and as we bring forth the power of the Spirit, and return to the Lord, with true words, we must watch the personality and put it aside. Say to it, as Christ did, "Got thee behind mo satan." "Man shall only live by the true words of God." lour words are Spirit, and they are life." In every department of life, man is creating through his words, and his words may be just as powerful to bring results as God in his spiritual words. The only creative law is the thought and word. If wo send forth the words under the Law, they create. They have the life and substance, intelligence and they have the fruit. The fruit of the lips are always good, or what we call evil. i'
